Personalized Support For Families

CAFCAN helps families navigate challenges and build stronger foundations for their future by providing parenting education, family counselling and intervention, along with access to community resources.

Through a compassionate and holistic approach, CAFCAN ensures that each family receives personalized support tailored to their unique needs. The parenting education programs offer valuable insights and practical tools, empowering parents to foster healthy, nurturing environments for their children.

Crisis intervention services are designed to offer immediate assistance and relief, helping families stabilize during turbulent times. Additionally, CAFCAN connects families with essential community resources, thereby enhancing their overall well-being and resilience.

By fostering a sense of community and belonging, CAFCAN plays a pivotal role in nurturing the potential of each family member, ultimately contributing to a more vibrant and supportive society.

Crossing the River Together (CRT)

CAFCAN’s innovative partnership with the Children’s Aid Society of Toronto, CAST, provides support services to families who no longer have need for child protection services, therefore, CAST refers these families to CAFCAN with consent from each participant. CAFCAN connects the participants to culturally appropriate mental health services such as counselling or other community services.

These services include but are not limited to affordable and or emergency housing, food support and legal services. Families are supported with tools and skills which reduce the risk of future involvement with the CAST.
