Government of Canada invests $7.25 million to establish the National Institute for People of African Descent

The Honourable Kamal Khera, Minister of Diversity, Inclusion and Persons with Disabilities, announced that a total of $7.25 million would be provided over three years to Caribbean African Canadian Social Services (CAFCAN) to establish the first-ever National Institute for People of African Descent.

The passing of Miah Bailey

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Miah Bailey, a beloved leader, community advocate, and past President of the Jamaican Canadian Association (JCA).

Miah’s dedication to the community left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing and working alongside him.

His leadership, compassion, and commitment to service will be remembered always. We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, and all whose lives he touched.
