CAFCAN Social Services Kambi Ya Watoto – Africentric Camp

July 10 – August 16, 2018

In its first year of operation, this children’s summer camp demonstrated its potential.

In partnership with the Toronto District School Board, the 6 week camp creates a space for children to learn African drumming and dance, create cultural arts and crafts, play Oware, visit Black owned businesses and attend weekly outings so that they can gain exposure to the world around them.

The children learn about Black history with a view to strengthening a strong sense of self and cultural identity
