UJIMA MENTORSHIP PROGRAM
Helping Black students in grades 7-9 successfully transition from middle school to high school.
The Ujima Mentorship Youth Program works within a multi-disciplinary team and in partnership with school boards to ensure that youth aged 12-15 who identify as Black are matched with caring adult mentors who will form one-on-one relationships with them and support them in their transition to secondary school as well as in developing a positive cultural identity.
- Pair youth with caring adult mentors ages 18-35
- Support youth in creating positive social circles.
- Engage youth in peer lead workshops focused on resiliency, self-esteem, positive decision making and more!
